Cold Foil Control Package Scienta is making available a Cold Foil Control Package. This will enable system integrators to quickly and confidently put together their own mechanical design without the need for specialist PLC software or motion control knowledge. This package may be specified for either twin tower or single tower formats and can comprise just the PLC, Operator HMI and Software or supplied together with compatible motors, drives, gearboxes, sensors and actuators. The control PLC comes pre-programmed with single web and multi web modes, jog functions, jobs database, metres run counter and foil usage minimisation. The package is equally suited to controlling foil or film or both. Scienta also has available a library of machine electrical interface solutions covering each of the main press manufacturers. The package will be available under license from September 2010.
